Softy Ice Cream Parlour

If you’re ever near the Indian Oil Bunk on Brough Road, you’ve probably seen Softy Ice Cream Parlour. We’re tucked into the Csi Complex at number 741. It’s a pretty busy area with all the cars coming and going from the petrol pump. We’ve been here for a good bit now, and we’ve gotten used to the smell of fuel and the sound of engines idling nearby. Our shop is small, but we make it work. Most of our day is spent cleaning the softy machines and making sure the mix is just right. It’s a bit of a science, getting the texture perfect, but we’ve had plenty of practice over the years. We don't have any big mission statements or corporate goals. We just want to make sure that when someone walks in, they get a cold cone and a bit of a break from the Erode traffic. The chairs are a bit old and the tiles are worn down from people walking on them, but it’s a comfortable spot. We see a lot of travelers who are just passing through and need a quick stop. It’s not a fancy life, but we like being right here on Brough Road. We’ve seen the complex change over time, but we’re still here in our little corner, doing what we know how to do best without any fuss.
