Site Engineer

I'm Murugesan and I run this small engineering setup here in Sendrayanur. It is located in the Vellithirupur post area, which is part of Bhavani. People mostly know me as the Site Engineer around here. I spend most of my day out on the ground, checking on things and making sure the work is actually moving along. It is not a big fancy office or anything like that. My address is right here in Erode district of Tamil Nadu. Sometimes I'm hard to find because I'm usually at a construction spot rather than sitting behind a desk. I grew up in this area, so I know the roads and the people quite well. When someone needs a site looked at, they just call me up or drop by. I don't really do the big corporate talk. I just look at the plans and the dirt and tell them what I see. It's practical work. My family has been in this region for a long time. There is always some work going on in Bhavani or nearby villages. I try to keep things simple. If there is a problem at a site, we just figure it out right there. That's how it goes for me. I started this because I liked seeing things being built from the ground up. It’s tiring sometimes but seeing a building finished feels okay. I just do what needs doing to get the job done right.
