Sakthi Masala (P) Ltd is based at 6 Mamarathupalayam. If you walk into the area, you can usually smell the spices before you even see the building. It’s a very distinct scent that stays with you. The facility is a big part of the local landscape here. We have a lot of people coming in for work every morning, mostly locals from the nearby streets. The building is functional and solid, built to handle the constant grinding and packing. Inside, it’s a hive of activity with machines running and people moving bags around. We don't have a fancy lobby or any corporate art on the walls. It’s just a place of work. Mamarathupalayam is a relatively quiet area compared to the city center, which is nice. We have a yard where the delivery trucks park and wait their turn. The floors are kept as clean as possible, but with so much powder moving around, it’s a constant battle. Most of our staff have been with us for a long time, so they know the routine by heart. We don’t talk much about goals or visions; we just make sure the machines are fed and the bags are filled. It’s a straightforward operation that keeps us busy from dawn till dusk. We just stick to our spot at number 6 and get on with it.
