S K Ice Creams

Our little place, S K Ice Creams, is located at 1/110 in Alukkuli Post, out here in Gobichettipalayam. It’s a quiet area mostly, and we’ve been operating from this spot for a good bit of time. Working with ice cream in this weather means you’re always checking the temperature of the machines. It’s a lot of manual work, honestly. We aren't a big corporation or anything like that. It is just us handling the day-to-day stuff, making sure the freezer is packed and the floor is swept. People from around the village come by, especially when there is a festival or some event happening nearby. We get the milk and the other ingredients sent in, and then we just get to work. Sometimes it gets a bit hectic when a bunch of people show up at once, but usually, it’s just a steady flow of neighbors. The building is simple, nothing fancy about the walls or the roof, but it stays cool enough inside. We don’t spend much time on decorations because we’re usually too busy with the actual product. If you live around Alukkuli, you probably already know where we are. We just try to do an honest job and keep the machines running without too many breakdowns. It can be a bit of a struggle when the parts get old, but we manage to fix things up and keep going. That is just how we run things here on the daily.
