Penguin Engineers

Our workshop is at 3/184 in Kondayampalayam, which is out near Coimbatore. It is a bit of a drive from the main city, which we actually prefer because it is a little quieter. We have been doing engineering work here for a long time. The building is just a basic structure with a tin roof that gets quite loud when it rains. Inside, it is all about the machinery and the metalwork we do every day. We don't have any shiny signs or a reception area with coffee. If you come by, you will likely find us in our work clothes covered in a bit of dust. We have a small group of workers who have stayed with us for years, so we all know how the other person works. There is an old tree outside where we sometimes sit for a break when the sun is too hot. Coimbatore is a major place for engineering, and we are just one of the many small shops contributing to that. We keep our tools organized as best as we can, but things often get messy when a big job comes in. It is a simple life and we focus on the practical side of things. We have a small radio that plays local stations while we work. It helps keep the atmosphere a bit more lively when we are doing repetitive tasks. We have been in this spot for several years now.
