Mallikarjuna Stores

If you walk down Kumbar Street in Erode, you will find Mallikarjuna Stores. We are a traditional shop in a part of town that has been around for a very long time. Kumbar Street is known for its history and the people who live here. We keep a variety of goods that the local residents need for their daily lives. It is a small store, so it can get a bit cramped when more than three people are inside at once. We have bags of grains and various household supplies stacked up. We don't use any fancy computer systems for our inventory; we just know what we have on the shelves. Erode is a busy city, but our street feels a bit more like a community. We know who is getting married and whose kids are doing well in school. That is just how it is here. We start our day early, sweeping the front and getting things ready for the first customers. It’s a lot of standing and talking, which we enjoy. We don’t have a big marketing plan or anything like that. We just rely on being here every day and providing what people ask for. The building is old but it stays cool enough in the summer. We’ve been part of the Kumbar Street landscape for many years and plan to stay right here.
