Murugan Stores

Our place, Murugan Stores, is located over at Arivoli Nagar Pirivu. It's not right in the middle of a big city, which is fine by us. Being near Vellamadai Post in P N Palayalam means we see a lot of the same people every week. It's a quiet enough area most mornings until the traffic picks up a bit. We spend a lot of time just making sure the shelves are full and everything is where it should be. The building isn't brand new, but it holds up well enough for what we do. Sometimes the weather gets a bit hot, so we keep the fans going all day. Dealing with deliveries is probably the busiest part of the morning. You have to watch out for the trucks coming through the pirivu. We don’t really do much advertising or anything like that because most folks around here already know where we are. It’s a straightforward way to make a living. We open the doors, sweep the front, and wait for the first customers to show up. It’s a lot of repetitive work, but it feels okay. Being a local shop means you hear all the news from around P N Palayalam. People stop to talk for a minute while they get what they need. We’ve been at this address for a long time and don’t plan on moving anywhere else soon. It’s just home for the business and the work we do every single day.
