Our shop is found at number 186 on Mettur Street in the village of Mazhyur. It is a small place, and everyone around here knows exactly where Mettur Street is located. The shop has been standing in this same spot for a very long time now. It is a simple building made of brick with a tin roof that makes a tremendous amount of noise whenever it rains. We have two large wooden doors that we pull open every single morning at seven o'clock sharp. Inside, you will mostly see large sacks of grains and shelves filled with various household goods that people use daily. I grew up playing around this shop and helping my father out before I eventually took over the business myself. It really has not changed much since those days. We still use the same heavy iron scale for weighing out the flour and rice. It is old but it is still very reliable. The lighting inside the shop is not very bright, so it can get a little dark in the back corners where we keep the extra stock. We do not have a website or any kind of online presence. People in Mazhyur just know we are here if they need something. We get many farmers coming in once they have finished their work in the fields for the day. They often sit on the wooden bench outside for a while before they buy their supplies. It is a slow pace.
