K. K. S. K. Leather Processor Pvt. Ltd. is located out on Bhavani Main Road in Ramanathapuram Pudur. It is more of a factory setting than an office, so it stays pretty loud during the shift hours. We spend our time processing raw hides into something usable. It is hard work and your hands usually end up pretty tired by the end of the day. The machines have been around for a bit and they need regular looking after to keep them running smooth. We have a crew that has been with us for years, so we all know the routine by heart now. The area around Bhavani Main Road is mostly industrial, so there are always trucks coming and going. It gets quite dusty out here. Sometimes the weather makes the drying process take longer, which can be a bit of a headache for the schedule. We do not have a big front desk or a waiting room, just the workshop and the processing floors where the real stuff happens. We just focus on the quality of the skins and making sure we do not waste material. It is not a clean job, you are going to get some dirt on your boots for sure. We just keep to ourselves and focus on getting the orders ready for whoever needs them. It is steady work and we are glad to have it.
