Al Badhr Tanners

The S. K. M. Complex in B. P. Agraharam is where Al Badhr Tanners is based. This part of town is known for leather work, so we fit right in. Tanning is hard work and it isn't always pleasant, but it’s what we know how to do. The smell of the hides is something you get used to after a few days, though visitors always notice it right away. We spend our days handling raw materials and moving them through the various stages of the process. The floors are often wet, and everyone wears heavy boots to keep their feet dry. It’s a loud environment with the drums turning and the water running. We don't have any polished office space here. Our desks are tucked into a corner of the warehouse where we can keep an eye on everything. We deal with suppliers and buyers who have been in the trade as long as we have. There isn't much room for fancy talk in the leather business. You either have the right product or you don't. We check the thickness and the texture of every piece that comes through the complex. It takes a lot of physical effort to move the heavy bundles around. We’ve been in B. P. Agraharam for quite some time now, and the routine hasn't changed much. We start early in the morning and work until the light starts to fade or the last shipment is loaded.
