Vasudev Tracto Rollers is located at 36/1315 on Banerji Road in the Kaloor area of Kochi. If you’ve ever spent time in Kochi, you know how busy Banerji Road can get with all the traffic and the noise. We are right in the thick of it here. The shop is full of heavy metal parts and rollers, so it’s usually got that smell of grease and iron hanging in the air. It’s a bit of a gritty place, with grease stains on the floor and heavy shelves lined with parts for tractors and machinery. We spend most of the day lifting things and checking specifications for the people who come in. It’s not the kind of place where you’d wear a nice suit, that’s for sure. The humidity in Kochi can make it a bit sticky inside, especially during the monsoon months when the rain is drumming on the metal roof. We get all sorts of people coming through the door, from mechanics to farmers who need their gear fixed up. It’s a lot of manual work and we stay pretty busy from morning until evening. Kaloor is a good place to be because it’s central, even if the parking on Banerji Road is a nightmare sometimes. We just keep our heads down and get the work done, making sure everyone gets the right rollers they need for their machines. It’s just honest, hard work every day and we have been doing it this way for a long time now.
