Delhi Tractors

Even though the name says Delhi Tractors, we are actually located down in Cochin at Sugandha Bhavan on the N.H. Bypass in Palarivattom. It confuses people sometimes, but we’ve been here long enough that the locals know where we are. The office is right by the bypass, so we hear the roar of the trucks going past all day long. It is a very humid place, and the salt in the air sometimes makes the metal parts look a bit dull. We have a small area where we keep some of the smaller machinery and a back room where all the files are kept. The floor is concrete and easy to clean, which is good because people often come in with muddy boots from the fields. We have a few plastic chairs for people to sit on while they wait for their paperwork to be finished. It’s a very straightforward business. We don't have any fancy brochures or a lobby with a fountain. Most of the time it’s just the boss and a couple of us handling the orders and checking the inventory. We have a small kettle for making black tea and we usually share a packet of biscuits in the afternoon. It is a humble spot but it works for what we need to do every day without any extra nonsense. We just sell the parts and equipment that people need for their work.
