We aren't big-city consultants with suits; we usually just wear whatever is comfortable for the weather. The office is part of a quiet neighborhood, so it doesn't feel like a busy business district. We have a small table where we sit down with people to go over their papers. Sometimes the neighbor's dog barks a lot, which can be a bit distracting during meetings, but that’s just life on this lane. We started doing this because friends kept asking for advice on their savings. Eventually, it just turned into a real business. We keep our records in a couple of old cabinets and on a laptop that’s getting a bit slow. There is no big neon sign or anything, just a small nameplate by the door.
