Ohome Farm and Natural Products is right across from the Nedumbasseri High School in Athani. If you are driving through Ernakulam, you have probably passed us many times. We focus on natural things because that is what we like ourselves. It’s not some big corporate strategy we came up with. We just think things should be simple and close to how they come from the earth. Our shop and office are right there on the road, so it’s easy for people to drop in. We get a lot of noise from the school and the traffic, but we don’t mind it at all. It makes us feel like we are part of the town. We spend our days sorting through products and talking to people who walk in. It’s a very local way of doing business. We don’t use any big words or fancy talk. If something is good, we say it’s good. If we don’t have it, we tell you we don’t. We’ve been in Athani for a while and we know the families around here. It’s more of a community thing than a big business. Sometimes we run out of certain items because they are seasonal, and we just have to wait for the next harvest. We aren't in a rush to grow too big. We just take it one day at a time here at Ohome and try to be fair.
