Nath Spun Pipes

Nath Spun Pipes is based out in Edayar, which is part of the IDA industrial area in Alwaye. It’s a big district and there are lots of factories around here. We’ve been at this location for a while, making pipes for different projects. The process of making spun pipes is interesting to watch, but it’s a lot of hard work. We use these big spinning machines that use centrifugal force to shape the concrete. It makes a specific kind of sound that you get used to after a few days. The air in Edayar can be a bit heavy sometimes because of all the industry around, but we just get on with it. Our yard is usually full of different sizes of pipes waiting to be moved out. We have a small crew, and everyone has their specific job to do. One person handles the mix, another watches the machines, and someone else handles the loading. It’s a rhythmic kind of work. We don’t have a fancy showroom or anything like that. People just come to the gate and ask what we have in stock. Sometimes the weather in Kerala makes it tough, especially when the monsoon hits and the yard turns into a bit of a puddle. But we keep the machines running whenever we can. It’s just a normal factory life, focusing on one pipe at a time.
