Greenmount Spices

Greenmount Spices is located near the Nellikuzhi Post Office in Ernakulam. We are quite easy to spot because we are right near the Green Valley Public School. During the day, we can hear the school bell and the children shouting during their breaks. Our business is all about spices, which means our building is always filled with strong scents. Some days it is cardamom, and other days it is black pepper. We spend a lot of time sorting through the harvest we get from the local farmers. It is a slow process because we do a lot of it by hand to make sure only the good stuff gets through. The weather in Ernakulam can be quite wet, so we have to be very careful to keep everything dry and clean. Our work area is simple, with big wooden tables and plenty of sacks waiting to be filled. We don't have a big marketing department or anyone to write fancy speeches. We are just local people who know a lot about spices. We like to talk to the farmers when they bring their crops in and hear about how the season is going. It is a very grounded way to make a living. We just take it one day at a time and try to do an honest job with what we have.
