Computer Mate

If you walk down Banerji Road near Amulya Street, you will find us at Computer Mate. We have a modest setup here. It is basically just a room filled with tools, soldering irons, and a lot of coffee mugs. We’ve been operating out of this corner for a while now, and the locals know us as the place to go when their internet stops working or their PC starts making a weird grinding noise. The street outside is always lively, which makes the day go by fast. We don't really go for anything flashy in here. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, and the front desk is scratched up from years of sliding heavy equipment across it. We spend most of our time hunched over workstations, looking at tiny parts through magnifying glasses. It’s quiet work for the most part, except for the sound of cooling fans and the occasional frustrated sigh when a software update fails. We like being on Banerji Road because it’s easy for people to find us. Whether it is a student from nearby needing a laptop repair or an older neighbor who can't get their printer to connect, we take a look at it. There is always something different to fix, which keeps the job interesting. We just keep our heads down and work on whatever is sitting on the bench that day. It is a good way to earn a living.
