Cheraman Engineering & Consultancy, Trichur India

Cheraman Engineering & Consultancy is actually based in Madathumpadi, Panayikulam. That is in the Eranakulam district of Kerala. Even though the name mentions Trichur, this is where we do all our daily operations. The office is in a fairly quiet spot, surrounded by a bit of greenery which is nice when you need a break from looking at engineering drawings. We have been here for a good while. The workspace is filled with old desks, rolls of blueprints, and stacks of reference books. It is not a modern, minimalist office by any stretch of the image. It is a bit dusty and the walls are covered in notes we have pinned up over the years. We do consultancy work, so we spend a lot of time talking to people about their building plans and technical requirements. It is a slow and steady process. Kerala weather can be unpredictable, so we spend a lot of time dealing with the humidity. The team is small, just a few of us who have known each other for years. We don't have fancy titles or a big corporate structure. We just sit together and work through the problems that come our way. It is a simple life and we like it that way. We don't use big words or try to sound more important than we are. We just know our engineering stuff well.
