We are located at No.2 in Perumbavoor, specifically in the Koovappady area. It is a bit different out here compared to the big city offices. We have more space, which is good because we deal with pipes and tubes that take up a lot of room. The air feels a bit fresher, though it gets incredibly humid during the monsoon season. Most of us here at Carris Pipes have grown up in the surrounding area, so it feels like a local operation. We spend our days watching the production lines and making sure the plastic is being extruded properly. It is a lot of physical work and keeping an eye on the machinery. When the trucks come in to load up, the whole yard gets quite loud and dusty. We do not have a big corporate team; it is just a group of people who know how to make pipes. The office is just a small room off to the side where we keep the records and take orders over the phone. We often have to walk out into the yard to check on stock levels, so our shoes are rarely clean. It is a simple life. We start early in the morning and finish up when the orders for the day are loaded. There is a small shop nearby where we get our snacks. It is not a fancy place, but it is where we do our work every day without much fuss or bother.
