We are based at No. Cc89/1275 on Veerath Lane, just off Mkk Nair Road near the telephone exchange in Palarivattom. It’s a bit of a maze back here, but once you find the telephone exchange, we aren't far. The office is in an older building that has a bit of character, or maybe it’s just showing its age. We have been here for a long time. Inside, there are desks piled high with newspapers, magazines, and old ad layouts. The walls are covered in calendars from previous years that we never bothered to take down. It’s a bit dusty in the corners where the folders are kept. We have a small tea area where we take breaks and talk about the news. The fans on the ceiling hum quite loudly, especially in the afternoons when it gets humid. We get a lot of phone calls because of the nature of the business, so there is always a bit of chatter in the background. The street outside is usually full of parked bikes. Sometimes we have to move stuff around just to make space for a visitor to sit down. It’s a very lived-in space. We aren't trying to impress anyone with the decor. We just do the work and keep things moving along as best we can. It’s a steady rhythm that we have gotten used to after all these years.
