Meiramew Spices Private Limited

We are located in Upper Mawprem, right near the Naspati Ghari and across from the police booth. It’s a busy part of Shillong, but we like the energy there. Seniorita and Meris Lyngdoh are the ones who really keep this place running. Spices are our main focus. The smell in our workspace is always very strong—lots of turmeric, ginger, and chili being processed. It gets in your clothes and everything. We spend our days grinding and packing. It’s a very hands-on job. We don’t use any of those massive industrial machines; it’s more small-scale and careful. We try to get the spices from local growers whenever we can. It’s not always easy to coordinate everything, especially with the rains in Shillong making transport tricky. We’ve had our fair share of mistakes, like a bag tearing or a label being printed a bit crooked, but we just fix it and move on. We aren't some polished brand from a magazine. We are just local people working in a small room in Mawprem. If you’re looking for us, look for the police booth and you’re basically there. We don't have a big marketing budget. We just rely on people knowing who we are and what we do. It’s honest work and it keeps our families going. We’ve been around for a bit and we just take things one day at a time here.
