You can find us at 2-488 on Road No 3 in the Bapanna Dora Colony area of Ramanayyapeta. Kakinada is where we call home and we’ve been running Southern Bowl Restaurant here for a while. It’s a regular neighborhood spot where people come when they don't feel like cooking at home. We don't have any Michelin stars or fancy white tablecloths, just sturdy wooden tables and chairs that have seen a lot of use. The kitchen is always noisy with the sound of clinking pans and water running. We mostly serve the kind of food we grew up eating ourselves. Sometimes the morning shift is a bit slow and we spend that time just drinking tea and getting the vegetables chopped for lunch. By noon, the place starts filling up and things get a bit more hectic. Our address in the 533005 area is easy to find if you are familiar with this part of East Godavari. We have a small staff and most of them have been with us since we opened the doors. We aren't trying to change the world or anything, we just want to serve decent meals and make sure the place is clean. It’s a lot of work and our aprons are usually stained by the end of the night, but it feels good to see people enjoying their lunch before they head back to their own jobs.
