About Part Time Chef – Food & Beverages in East Godavari
Our place is located at Door Number 3-33 on Panchayat Street in Razole. It is a small town in Andhra Pradesh, and things generally move at a much slower pace around here. I started doing this part-time work because I have always liked cooking and people in the area needed help with meals for small gatherings or when they were just too busy to cook for themselves. It is not a big restaurant with a printed menu and professional waiters. I mostly work out of the kitchen here and go to different houses in the neighborhood whenever I am needed. The street outside is usually quiet, though you can hear the birds and the occasional scooter passing by. Sometimes I get some help from my family members when there is a larger order to finish by a certain time. We use whatever we can find at the local market in the early mornings, so the ingredients usually depend on what happens to be fresh that particular day. I do not use any special modern gadgets, just the usual pots and pans that have been sitting in the kitchen for a long time. It gets very hot in the summer months, which makes standing over a stove difficult, but we manage by starting our work very early. People know me by name in this part of town, so I never really needed a sign outside.
