Om International

Om International is based out in Marripudi, which is part of the Rangampeta Mandal in the East Godavari District. It’s a very different vibe from the big cities. Everything is a bit slower here. We are surrounded by a lot of greenery and fields. The air feels a bit cleaner, though it gets very humid. Our office is a basic setup. We don’t have a lot of fancy equipment, just what we need to stay connected and handle the international side of the business. It’s funny being "International" while sitting in a small mandal like Rangampeta, but that’s how the world works now. We spend a lot of time on the phone and the computer. The local people are good, and many of our staff come from the nearby villages. We usually close up when the sun goes down. There isn’t much of a nightlife here, which suits us fine. Sometimes the internet is a bit patchy, so we have to be patient and wait for it to come back. We handle things as they come. It’s a quiet life, mostly. We focus on the logistics and the paperwork that comes with shipping stuff across borders. East Godavari is a beautiful place to work, even if it’s a bit out of the way for most people. We’ve been here long enough that everyone knows where we are. We just keep doing our thing every day, making sure the ledgers are balanced and the emails are sent. It's a long drive to the nearest big city, so we don't go there often.
