Larsen & Toubro Limited, Ecc Division

Out here in Kakinada, the ECC Division office is on Kammalavari Street in the Jagannaickpur area. It’s a part of Andhra Pradesh that feels very traditional and busy in its own way. We’re located in a straightforward building that fits right into the neighborhood. There’s no huge corporate logo on the roof, just a small nameplate. Inside, it’s mostly just us sitting around desks covered in drawings and site reports. The street outside can get quite narrow, and there’s always someone passing by on a cycle or a scooter. We’ve been here long enough that the local shopkeepers know us. The work we do here is mostly coordination and keeping the paperwork straight for the projects in the region. It’s a bit of a maze of folders and ledgers, but we know where everything is. The air is often salty because we’re close to the coast, and the office has that lived-in feel. It’s not a showroom. It’s a place where we drink tea and figure out how to solve the latest logistics problem. We don’t bother with fancy furniture or modern lighting. We just need a roof over our heads and a place to organize the men and materials. It’s a very practical, no-nonsense kind of setup where we just focus on getting the job done day after day. There is always plenty to do and not enough hours.
