Execution Engineer

I’m an Execution Engineer working out of East Godavari Dist in Andhra Pradesh. My father is P.V.V. Satyanarayana, and we are based in Tamarapalli, which is part of the K.Gangavaram Mandle. We deal with construction and making sure things get built properly on the ground. It’s not an office job where you sit in air conditioning all day. Most of the time, I’m out in the sun or checking on progress at various sites around the mandle. The dust is part of the job, and your boots are never really clean. Tamarapalli is a small place, so everyone knows who is doing what. My family has deep roots here, which helps when dealing with local folks. We don’t use a lot of big words to describe what we do. It’s about getting the structure up and making sure it stays there. Sometimes the materials are late, or the weather doesn't help, but that’s just how it goes in this line of work. You learn to be patient. I spend a lot of time on my bike going between different projects. It’s a practical life, and it keeps me busy from sunrise until it gets dark enough to stop for the day.
