Konaseema Mart

Konaseema Mart is situated in the Md Gouse Building on Cinema Road in Amalapuram. Being on Cinema Road, we get a lot of people passing by, especially in the evenings when the area really wakes up. The mart is filled with all the standard groceries and household items you would expect. We have spent a lot of time figuring out the best way to fit everything into the Md Gouse Building space, and it can feel a bit tight when we have a lot of customers at once. We are not a big chain with a corporate office somewhere else; it is just us here on the ground in Amalapuram. We deal with the local suppliers and handle the stocking ourselves. Some of the shelves are a bit tall, so we are often helping people reach things down. We do not do any fancy promotions or have glossy brochures. Our day is mostly about sweeping the floor, checking the expiry dates on the milk and bread, and ringing up sales. The fans run constantly to keep the air moving, and there is always a bit of chatter near the entrance. It is a simple operation where we try to keep things organized enough so people can find their salt or their soap without too much trouble. We like being part of the daily life here, watching the town go by from our front door while we work.
