Over in Samanasa, near the local library, you can find Eridase School Of Fashion at address 1-47. Being in East Godavari, it’s a quiet village spot, which you might not expect for a fashion school. Inside, it’s a bit different. We have tables for cutting fabric and a row of sewing machines that get a lot of use. There are always bits of thread and scraps of cloth on the floor by the end of the day. People come here to learn how to sew, design clothes, and understand how fabrics work together. It isn’t about big runways or fancy models; it’s more about the actual work of making things. The students are often local people looking to start their own small tailoring shops or just learn a skill they can use. We don't have a lot of fancy furniture, just what is necessary for the craft. The instructors are people who have spent years working with needles and thread. Sometimes the machines jam, or a student gets frustrated with a difficult stitch, and we just sit down and figure it out together. It is a very hands-on place. The light in the rooms is pretty good because of the large windows, which helps when you are doing detail work. It’s just a small school tucked away in a corner of the village where people learn to make something with their own hands. We help them get ready for the 533213 job market or just for themselves.
