If you’re looking for us, you have to find Lane No. 4-A in the Friends Colony Industrial Area. It’s at 1/536, C-12. Sandeep Enterprises has been operating out of this spot in Shahdara for quite a bit. It’s a busy industrial zone, so there’s always a lot of noise from the nearby workshops and trucks moving on G.T. Road. Our place is basically a workshop and a small office space partitioned off with some plywood. We do a bit of everything here, mostly hardware and small parts. Grease on the door handles and the smell of metal in the air are just part of the environment. A receptionist isn't something we have. Usually, whoever is closest to the door just looks up from what they're doing. A few machines have been running since the start. They’re old but they work fine if you know how to handle them. Most of our time is spent dealing with local contractors and people from the neighborhood. It’s not the cleanest place, but it’s where the work happens. Money doesn't get spent on fancy signs. People know we’re here. Getting the orders filled without too much fuss is the goal. Some days the power goes out and we just sit outside and talk until it comes back on. It’s a regular life in a regular shop. We just keep at it and make sure the deliveries go out correctly.
