S 669 School Block. This part of Delhi is always crowded. Shakarpur is a maze if you aren't used to it. We are right in the middle of it near the school block. The lanes are narrow, so we usually tell people to come on a bike if they can. There is a lot of noise from the street—vendors selling vegetables, kids playing, and motorcycles zooming past. Our office is inside one of those typical buildings you see all over this area. It’s not very big, but we manage. We have a few tables pushed together. The light isn't great in the back room, so we use some extra lamps. It gets very dusty during the summer, so we’re always wiping down the desks. Most of us eat lunch at our desks or go to the little dhaba around the corner. They make good parathas. Sometimes the water doesn't come in the morning, and we have to call the tanker. It’s just life in Shakarpur. We’ve been at this address for a long time, and everyone knows us on this block. We don’t really do any big advertising; we just stay busy with whatever comes in. It’s a bit messy with all the files and folders, but we know where everything is. If you ever come looking for us, just ask for S 669 near the school. We are usually here until late evening.
