Laxmi Nagar is where you’ll find us. It’s a busy part of East Delhi, always full of energy and people rushing around. Our office is right in the middle of all that. It’s not a huge space, but it’s enough for what we do. We’ve been working as consultants here for a few years. It’s a lot of talking to clients and trying to solve problems. The noise from the street usually carries up, so there’s always a bit of a buzz in the background. We don’t have any polished marble floors or anything like that. It’s just a regular office with some desks and filing cabinets that have seen better days. We like being in Laxmi Nagar because everything is close by—the metro, the food stalls, everything. It makes the day go by faster. We aren’t trying to be some big multinational firm. We’re just local people helping other local businesses or individuals with their paperwork and planning. Sometimes it’s a bit chaotic when everyone shows up at once, but we just take it one person at a time. It’s honest work. We finish up in the evening and head out into the Delhi traffic like everyone else. There’s a tea stall just around the corner that we visit every morning. The office can get quite hot in the summer, even with the fans going full blast. We just drink more water and keep at it. We’ve got a lot of old files stacked up in the corner that we really should go through one day.
