If you’re ever walking around B-80 in Preet Vihar, you might spot our place. It’s where Oriental Structural Engineers is based out of. We’ve been in this part of Delhi for a good bit now. Most of what we do involves big building projects and infrastructure work. It's mostly about making sure things are solid and won't fall down. We spend a lot of time checking numbers and making sure the supplies are what they should be. It’s not exactly glamorous, and the office can get pretty cluttered with rolls of drawings and old files. Sometimes the tea runs out and we have to send someone down the street to get more, which happens more often than it probably should. Working in Delhi has its own set of problems, like the heat in the summer and trying to get trucks through the narrow streets. We just handle it as it comes. Our guys are used to the noise and the rush. We don't have a big marketing department or anything, we just focus on the engineering side of things. It’s a lot of math and a lot of physical work on site. We’ve seen the city change quite a bit from our desk here in Preet Vihar. It’s a busy life, but it keeps us on our toes and there's never a dull day when you're trying to build something that's meant to last for decades. We just keep our heads down and get the job done properly for everyone.
