M/S Jagdish Chand & Co, Chartered Accountants

Our place is at 309, Street No. 3, which is quite close to Pal Mohalla in Mandawali. It’s a typical Delhi neighborhood where everything is a bit tight but everyone knows each other. Jagdish Chand started this firm to help local people with their taxes and accounting, and we are still doing that today. The office is on a busy street, so there is always noise from scooters and street vendors outside. Inside, we have our desks and a couple of old computers that have seen better days. We spend a lot of time looking at balance sheets and making sure every rupee is accounted for. It’s not the most exciting work for some, but we find it satisfying to get the math right. We have a lot of regular clients who have been coming to us for decades. They usually stop by for a chat even if they don't have any papers to file. We don't have a big marketing budget or any glossy brochures. We just have our name on the door and a reputation for doing the work without making a fuss. The office gets a bit dusty because of all the construction nearby, but we just wipe down the desks and keep going. It’s a simple life here in Mandawali, and we’re happy to be a part of it, helping out with the financial side of things.
