Our office is at Plot No. R-306 in Gali No. 14, over in Ramesh Park. Laxmi Nagar is a crowded place, and our little lane is no different. You have to watch where you park your bike or you might block someone coming through with a cart. We do a lot of technical and engineering stuff here at Metro Engtech, mostly involving drawings and planning out projects on our computers. The room is usually filled with the sound of humming machines and the clicking of keyboards. We have a few chairs for visitors, but they usually end up covered in rolls of blueprints or spare parts. It is not a very big space, so we have to be careful not to trip over the cables running across the floor. Sometimes we stay late when a deadline is coming up, and the street outside finally gets quiet. We usually grab some snacks from the small shop at the corner when we need a break. The walls are painted a plain white, and we have calendars pinned up everywhere to keep track of the dates. It is a bit of a squeeze when everyone is in the office at once, but we manage to get the work done. We focus on the details of the engineering tasks and try to make sure everything is right before it goes out. It is just us working hard in a small spot in the middle of a very busy area.
