Our office is at B-307 on the third floor in GD Colony. This is over in Mayur Vihar Phase-III, which is a pretty crowded residential area. Maira Consulting has been running out of this apartment-style office for a bit. It’s not very big, but it’s enough for the small team we have. We spend most of our time at our desks, which are mostly covered in notebooks and half-empty water bottles. The third-floor location means we’re away from the worst of the street dust, but the stairs are still a bit of a climb. During the day, you can hear kids playing in the colony or the sound of someone’s television through the walls. It feels more like a home than a cold business office, which we actually prefer. We aren't using any high-tech gadgets or fancy software most of the time. It’s just us, our laptops, and a lot of talking. We don't have a receptionist, so if someone knocks, whoever is closest to the door just gets up to answer it. Sometimes the internet is a bit slow, so we take that as a sign to go grab some snacks from the shop downstairs. It’s a very normal, local way of doing things, and we don’t feel the need to pretend otherwise. We just do our best for the folks who hire us and call it a day.
