You can find Mahindra Trading Company over in the Patparganj Industrial Area at 97, FIE. It’s an area full of grey buildings and a lot of heavy trucks moving through the narrow lanes. Our place is basically a big warehouse with a small section partitioned off for the office work. It’s mostly just metal shelves and concrete floors around here. We spend a lot of time counting inventory and checking the manifests. It gets pretty dusty because of all the construction and traffic nearby, so we are always wiping down the desks. The phone rings a lot, usually someone asking about a delivery or a price, and we just give it to them straight. We don't use any fancy scripts or anything. It's just a matter of knowing what we have in stock and what we don't. During the lunch break, we usually sit on the front step and watch the traffic go by. It’s not the quietest place to work, but it’s where all the action is. We’ve been in this spot for a long time, and we know most of the other traders around here. We just try to keep things organized and make sure we don't make too many mistakes with the numbers. It’s a simple operation, really, and we just keep it running the best we can every single week.
