If you go down Street No 4 in New Delhi, you’ll find us at House No 270. This is the spot for K S Gupta Co. It’s a busy neighborhood, like most of Delhi is these days. We’ve been in this specific building for quite a while now. The street is pretty narrow, so parking is always a headache for anyone coming by with a vehicle. We mostly handle trade and some distribution work from here. It’s a family-run thing, so there’s usually a cousin or a nephew around helping out with the heavier boxes. The rooms are filled with samples and piles of packages that we need to sort through before the end of the day. We don't spend money on fancy signs or modern decorations. The walls could probably use a fresh coat of paint, but we never seem to find the time to stop everything and do it. Most of our day is spent on the phone or talking to people who drop in to check on their orders. We drink a lot of chai and talk about the news while we work through the afternoon. It’s not a corporate environment at all. If you come here, you’ll likely see us sitting around a cluttered wooden table. It’s how we’ve always done things here. We know the local shops and the people who live in the apartments upstairs. It’s a community feel, even though we are just a small business trying to get by in a big city.
