Jacobs Engineering India Pvt Ltd has a small place in Delhi over in Mayur Vihar Phase III. We are located in Flat No 1 B, within Pocket B 2. It is a very residential feeling area, which is nice because it is quieter than the main commercial hubs. Working out of a flat gives the whole office a more relaxed, homey vibe compared to a glass office building. We have set up our workstations in the main rooms, and the kitchen serves as our break area. It is a simple setup. We deal with various engineering projects from here, mostly focusing on the documentation and design phases. Mayur Vihar is a good spot for us since many of the staff live nearby or can get here easily on the metro. The area has a lot of green patches and small parks, so it is a decent place to take a walk when your eyes get tired of looking at a screen. We don't have a big sign outside or a formal reception desk. Usually, if you come by, you'll just see a few of us hunched over our laptops or discussing a layout over the dining table we converted into a conference desk. It is honest work and we don't feel the need to dress it up. Being in a residential pocket means we know the security guards and the folks at the local mother dairy. It is just a normal day-to-day operation for us here.
