Indian Arts & Crafts

We have been running Indian Arts & Crafts from our spot at C-79 in Preet Vihar for quite a while now. It’s a decent sized place but we have so many items that it often feels a bit cramped. You’ll see piles of different crafts tucked into every corner. We spend a lot of our mornings just dusting things off and trying to find where we put specific items the day before. Preet Vihar is a busy area, so there is always some noise from the street or the metro nearby. We don’t have a big team, just a few of us who know where everything is kept. Sometimes the light in the back flickers, but we haven't gotten around to fixing it yet. People often stop by just to look around and we don't mind that at all. It’s a lot of work keeping track of all the different pieces we get from different places. We usually have tea together in the afternoon when things quiet down a bit. Our shelves are made of old wood and they groan a bit under the weight of the heavier pots. We don’t really do fancy displays or anything like that. We just put things out where they fit. It is a simple way of doing things but it works for us. If you’re ever around C-79, you’ll likely see us out front moving boxes or talking to the neighbors.
