Running Maa Laxmi Exports from Anamika Appartment is a bit different than having a shop on a main street. It’s quieter here, and we don’t get many random people just walking in off the sidewalk. Most of our work happens over the phone or through emails, sitting at our desks surrounded by files and samples. The office is tucked away, so it feels more like a workspace than a store. We spend a lot of time checking on shipments and making sure the paperwork is sorted out properly. Sometimes the hallway outside gets a bit cluttered when we have boxes waiting to go out, but we try to keep things moving so we don't bother the neighbors too much. The light in the rooms is mostly artificial because of how the building is shaped, but we’ve gotten used to it. On most days, you’ll just hear the sound of keyboards and the occasional delivery person knocking on the door. We don't have any flashy signs or big displays. Everything is very functional and geared toward getting the orders processed and out the door on time. It’s a steady pace of work, and while it might not be the most exciting location, it suits the way we do things. We’ve been in this building long enough that the guards and the other tenants all know us by name now, which makes the day feel a bit more familiar.
