Independent Consultant

I’m based out of the Kakateeya Apartments in IP Extension, over in the Patpargunj area of Delhi. It’s a busy neighborhood, and this apartment complex has been my home base for work for quite a while now. Being an independent consultant here means I'm usually juggling a few different tasks at once. I don’t have a flashy website or a big sign outside the door. Most people find me because someone else told them I could help out. My day usually starts early with a lot of tea and checking what came in overnight. The desk is right by the window, so I get to see the daily rhythm of the colony while I work. Sometimes the neighbors are a bit loud, but that’s just part of living and working in Delhi. I don’t spend money on fancy marketing or sales pitches. I just do the work that needs to be done. It’s a one-person operation, so I handle the billing, the research, and the phone calls myself. Some days are slow, and I spend time tidying up my notes, while other days I’m rushing to meet a deadline. It's practical work. I've grown used to the quiet of working alone, though I do miss having an office kitchen to hang out in. It works for me, though. It’s just simple, honest work from my home in D 10. There’s no corporate ladder to climb here, just a lot of documents to read.
