Anuj Trivedi runs things here at Street No 6 in Lalita Park. If you know Laxmi Nagar, you know how busy it gets around here. Our address is 6 253, and honestly, sometimes the mail gets a bit mixed up because of how the streets are laid out in Delhi 110092. We started Home Shope 18 just to have a place where people could find what they needed without a lot of fuss. The shop isn't huge, but we pack a lot into it. Most days, it is just us dealing with the usual crowds and the noise from the main road filtering in. It gets pretty dusty in the summer, so there is a lot of cleaning to do every morning before we really get going. People around Lalita Park stop by mostly because they know we are here and they don't have to go all the way to the bigger markets. We don't have fancy displays or those bright lights that give you a headache. It is just a regular spot. Sometimes the chai guy comes by and we take a break on the plastic chairs outside. It is a simple life running a business in this part of town. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit over the years, but Street No 6 stays mostly the same. It is a bit cramped, but it feels like home to us. When people come in, they usually know Anuj already, so we spend a lot of time just catching up on how everyone’s families are doing.
