We’ve been here at Vasant Apartments in Mayur Vihar Phase I for a while now. It’s a busy spot in Delhi. Getting to the office through the Phase I traffic can be a real headache some mornings, but we make it work. Hewitt Bpo Services India is basically just a group of us sitting in this apartment converted into an office. There’s a tea stall right outside the main gate where we usually go when the computers get too much for us. The rooms are a bit cramped because of all the files and desks we’ve squeezed in over the years. We handle a lot of the back-office stuff that people don't really think about much. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait for the backup to kick in, which is just part of living in this area. It isn't a fancy corporate tower or anything like that. Just a plain office with desks and people working on their screens. Most of us live nearby, so that helps. We’ve seen the neighborhood change quite a bit since we started. There are more cars now, and it’s noisier, but the location is handy for getting into the city. We keep to ourselves mostly, just getting the daily tasks done. It’s a quiet enough place to work once you get inside and close the door. We don't have a big sign outside, so people usually have to call to find the right block.
