Deep Arts is tucked away in Mukherjee Gali. If you are looking for us, the address is 1659908 in Gandhi Nagar. It’s a bit of a maze back here, with all the narrow alleys and different shops stacked on top of each other. We do our work in a small room that is usually filled with the smell of ink and paper. It’s not a glamorous job, but it’s what we know how to do. The walls are covered in samples and bits of tape. We don’t have a big sign outside, just a small one near the door. Mukherjee Gali is always busy with people carrying bundles of cloth or paper. We have to keep the door shut sometimes just to keep the noise out so we can concentrate. The number 1659908 is what you’ll see on our billing. We started Deep Arts because we wanted to work for ourselves, and Gandhi Nagar seemed like the right place to be. We don’t talk about excellence or quality in a corporate way. We just try not to make mistakes and get the work done on time. If a job is wrong, we fix it. That’s about it. The lighting inside isn't the best, but we have our lamps. It’s a humble place, and we are just regular people trying to make a go of it in a crowded city. We hope to stay here for a while.
