Ashok Arul & Co. is located over at Pharma Apartments in Patparganj. If you know the I.P. Extension area, it’s a pretty quiet spot compared to the rest of Delhi. We set up the office in unit C-4/29. Most days, it’s just the sound of calculators and clicking keys. We handle the usual chartered accountancy work, like keeping track of records and making sure everyone's GST is filed on time. It’s a lot of manual checking and double-checking numbers so they match up. We aren't a huge firm with hundreds of employees. It’s a small group of us here. We see a lot of people from the nearby apartment complexes who need help with their personal taxes or small businesses they run from home. The office gets a bit cramped during tax season when the files start piling up on every available surface. We usually have tea together in the afternoon while we discuss the latest notifications from the department. It isn't anything glamorous, but it’s what we do. We’ve been at this address for quite some time now, so people in the building know where to find us. Sometimes we stay late when a deadline is coming up, but we try to keep regular hours. It’s just a practical place for doing practical work, and we like the community vibe in this part of town.
