F 208 B in Mangal Bazar is where you can find us. This is in Laxmi Nagar, New Delhi, which is one of the most crowded places you can imagine. Aptara is based right in the thick of it. If you’ve ever walked through Mangal Bazar, you know the energy is just constant. The office is in a building that’s seen better days, and the stairs are a bit narrow, but it serves its purpose. Inside, it is mostly just rows of desks and people typing away. We don't have a lot of room for extra stuff, so it stays pretty functional. The noise from the street below usually drifts up, so you’re always aware of the rikshaws and the shoppers outside. It’s not a quiet, polished office like you might find in a corporate park. We are just a bunch of regular people doing our daily tasks. During the rainy season, the street outside gets a bit muddy, which is always a hassle. We usually get our lunch from one of the local shops because the food around here is actually quite good and cheap. It’s a very local way of working. We don’t have big meetings with fancy slides. We just talk across the desks to get things sorted. It’s a bit chaotic at times, but that’s just life in Laxmi Nagar for us. We just keep our heads down and work on whatever needs finishing before the metro gets too packed.
