You can find Adesh Jain & Associates at D-5 on the first floor in Dayanand Block. It’s right there in Shakarpur, Delhi 110092. Being on the first floor is nice because we can see what’s happening on the street, which is always something. The office itself is pretty basic. We’ve got some desks and a few cabinets for all the files we have to keep. Adesh is usually around, either working on a file or talking to someone about their taxes. We don’t have a big corporate vibe here at all. It’s more of a place where you come and talk about your business figures over a cup of tea. We handle things like audits and tax planning for a variety of local people. Some days it’s very quiet and we can get through a lot of work, but other days it’s a bit chaotic with people dropping in without an appointment. That’s just the way it goes in Shakarpur. We’ve been here long enough that we know most of the people on the block. We aren't trying to impress anyone with a polished look. We just want to make sure the books are right and the filings are done before the portal starts acting up near the deadline. It’s a lot of pressure sometimes, but we’ve gotten used to the rhythm of the tax calendar over the years. We just keep our heads down and keep working until the sun goes down.
