Sudhanshu Kumar

I am Sudhanshu Kumar, and I work out of the Central Accounts Sections within the Finance and Accounts department here in Bhilai. My daily life revolves around the 490001 area, specifically in this office where we manage a lot of the heavy lifting for the financial side of things. It is a government-style environment, so expect a lot of desks, high ceilings, and the sound of fans whirring overhead. My role involves keeping track of various accounts and making sure the math stays accurate across a whole range of different departments. It’s not the kind of job that gets a lot of glory, but it’s necessary for things to keep running smoothly. I’ve been in this position for a while, and I’ve seen a lot of changes in how we record data, though the core of the work remains the same. The atmosphere is generally professional but relaxed among the staff. We all know each other and how we work. Dealing with finance in a place like Bhilai means you have to be careful with the details. There isn't much room for error when you’re dealing with these kinds of budgets. I spend most of my time looking at screens and ledgers. When people come to find me, it’s usually because there is a discrepancy to fix or a report that needs finishing. It’s steady work, and being based in the central section means I’m right in the middle of all the action in Bhilai.
