Sensible Computers

Our place is on the first floor of D-Block in the Om-Parisar building. Being so close to the railway station means there is always a lot of noise and people rushing around outside. You can hear the trains if it’s quiet enough in the shop, but it rarely is. We’ve been here at 106 for a while now. The stairs up to the first floor can be a bit steep for some people, but it’s a decent enough spot once you get inside. We have a few benches where we line up the laptops we are working on. It’s a lot of troubleshooting and cleanups mostly. Sometimes people come in straight from the train because they had a problem while traveling. We keep things pretty simple here. There are cables everywhere and usually a fan running to keep the place cool. It isn't a huge office, just enough space for us to sit and work without bumping into each other too much. We see a lot of familiar faces from the nearby blocks. Working near the station has its moments, especially during peak hours when the crowd is thick. We just focus on the task at hand and try to keep things moving. Most days are just about getting through the repair list. We aren't doing anything revolutionary, just keeping the computers running for the folks around here. It is just steady work for us every day of the week.
