Janchetna Farmer Producer Company Limited is located over at Ward-4 in Patan, specifically at Babubagicha. We are set up at Shri Ved Narayan Verma’s place. It is a familiar spot for people living around the Durg district. We started this because we wanted a way for the farmers around here to deal with their own business without having to go too far into the city every time. Most of our days are spent talking to people from the Tahsil who drop by to see how things are going. The office is not anything special, just a regular building where we keep our records and meet up. Being in Patan means we are right in the middle of everything we grow. We do not have a big staff or fancy computers, just a few of us making sure the grains and products are handled right. Sometimes the electricity goes out in the middle of the day, so we just sit outside and talk. It is a quiet life mostly, but the work is steady. We handle the paperwork and the distribution right from Babubagicha. It feels right to be based in a local home instead of a tall building. People know where to find us if they need to talk about their crops. We just take it one day at a time and try to keep the books straight for all the members.
